Frontline Airsoft is done, but the blog isn't!

I closed down the business a while ago, but plan on continuing to blog about new products, games, etc.  Be sure to keep checking back!

Airsoft SAW game scenario idea

Perfect Addition to the A&K SAW

We added this last night to our weekly games, it's just camo netting, a camo tarp, and pvc, and it was a LOT of fun. The tarp and clear shield on front of the machine gun made it very hard to kill the gunner from the front, but poor visibility inside means the gunner's extremely vulnerable to anyone approaching from any other direction. We're going to make it a bit bigger and more open next time, and bring the machine gun a little lower. We played some attack/defend scenarios, the attacking team just has to capture a flag that's in front of the bunker's line of fire, but essentially to do that the attackers have to take out the bunker gunner or they'll be cut down anywhere near the flag. Fun game, should be even more fun as we tweak and perfect the idea...

Automatic Metal Airsoft SAW!

Just got this in, what an amazing airsoft gun!

First off, it's a beast. It's one giant block of metal, with a bit of ABS on the stock and handgrip.

The internals are rock solid, it's a massive reinforced steel gearbox that looks like an elephant could walk over it with no damage. The internals are actually mostly V2 parts, which means cheap easy upgrades. The box is a dream to work on, unlike other gearboxes where parts go flying and getting the halves together with a strong spring is a practice in frustration, this SAW gearbox has a lever that lets the spring out, so opening and closing is as easy as turning a few screws.

On that note, the spring can be changed by removing 2 hex screws and lifting the gearbox out. A few minutes and you can go from 300 FPS to 450 or more FPS, no problems.

The hopup is a dial adjust type, and works well, this model is a long barreled model.

Accuracy is about on par with most stock AEG's. I actually love a bit of innaccuracy in it, it forces you to fire more rounds to hit your target, much like a real machine gun.

Speaking of firing more rounds, the electric continuously fed included box mag is great. flawless feeding, sound activated, just great. 3000 rounds, or about 3 minutes of nonstop firing.

The sights are also nice, well made, and adjustable right at the back with 2 easy knobs, so you can adjust while you're shooting. The rear site is adjustable for windage and elevation, view through the sites will be familiar to any video game player.

The SAW for good reason continues to be one of the most sought after airsoft guns, it's intimidating, built well, and effective when used right. Buy it from Amazon, you won't regret it!

PS, we are in the process of constructing a mobile bunker/machine gun nest, plans and pictures next week!

Pistol Mania!

We added a ton of pistols to our inventory this week, high quality green gas/propane models. If you haven't shot a high quality airsoft replica pistol, you need to get your hands on one. It's the closest you can come to firing a real gun. The model pictured above for example feels like a .22 when firing, it's got a great kick.

Tornado Airsoft Grenades Coming!

You have to see these things in action, here's a video:

http://www.airsoft-innovations.com/vids/TornadoVid3_lg.mov

Amazingly effective for CQB, and with the short fuse option they can be used to airburst in longer range battles. Built from extremely tough materials they can be thrown over and over again, just fill with green gas (or propane with adaptor) and bb's (180 of them!), pull the pin, toss, and watch as those 180 bb's fly in every direction at up to 140 fps. The design of the grenade results in it bouncing and spinning while launching the bb's to ensure that 360 degree destruction radius.

Watch for these on our website very shortly, we'll add them as soon as we get them!

In the meantime we're adding a ton of TSD Gas Blowback Pistols, check them out:

Grenadiers!

So we finally got some M203 launchers in, China made, full metal. These perform great, can attach to any RIS rail easily, and is very snug and secure once attached. If you haven't used or seen airsoft grenades used before, you should youtube it. They are very effective, especially through brush or in CQB situations, the intimidation effect alone of the loud POP when they go off is great. I get asked a lot how they work, so here goes: You obtain a 40mm Airsoft Grenade shell or shells, I recommend multiple ones. They come in all sorts of flavors, my favorite are the middle of the road ones, 40 - 80 rounders. All you have to do is fill the grenade with gas, green gas or propane with a propane adaptor, then load the bb's in (don't put bb's in first, sometimes the grenades air seals will pop while filling, and you'll get a face full of bb's if you put them in first), I like to use a cocktail of .12's, .20's, and sometimes .25's. This results in a nice shotgun style blast of bb's when you pull the trigger. A common misconception is that the shell flies out when fired, but this is not so, the shell stays in the M203 launcher, it just throws all 40 - 80 bb's out in one big blast. Range completely depends on the shell, 50 feet is around the max for most. There are some specialty shells out there that are fun, 10 mm rubber ball launchers, nerf foam rocket launchers, etc.
